Title:
Implications of AI Innovation on Economic Growth and Human Security: A Panel Data Study of an Emerging Economy Available to Purchase
Details:
The study investigates the application of artificial intelligence (AI) on economic growth and human security based on the application of panel data of an emerging economy with Ghana as a case study. The study aims to investigate and gauge the impact of AI on an economy specifically, on long-run economic growth within the concept of human security. The study intends to test the hypothesis that there is a positive relationship between AI innovation, economic growth and human security using the datasets of firms and industries from 2012 to 2022 and employing fixed effects and a generalised method of moments (GMM) estimation. GMM combines observed economic data with information in population moment conditions that results in estimates of the unknown parameters of an economic model. The study reveals that there is a marginal significant relationship between AI innovation, processes of economic growth and human security in emerging economies such as Ghana who is a late starter to the evolution of such technological innovation. It is expected that the study will contribute to the relevance of the application of AI innovation to stimulate gains to both the supply and demand sides in an emerging economy.
