Details:
The Ghana AI Citizen Assistant is a proposed artificial intelligence-powered digital assistant being developed by MOONDOOG Technologies to improve citizens' access to government information and public services. The initiative was presented to the Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations during a courtesy visit in July 2026 as part of discussions on leveraging AI to enhance public service delivery.
According to the proposal, the platform is intended to enable citizens to interact with government services through an AI-powered conversational interface, making it easier to obtain information, navigate public services, and receive assistance. The solution aims to improve the accessibility, responsiveness, and efficiency of government service delivery while supporting Ghana's broader digital transformation agenda.
MOONDOOG Technologies also demonstrated an early-stage prototype of the proposed system during the engagement with the Ministry. As of July 2026, the Ghana AI Citizen Assistant remains a proposal and prototype; the government has not announced that it has been approved, adopted, or scheduled for nationwide deployment.
