The Ghana Artificial Intellegence Practitioners’ Guide is a strategic national resource designed to support
the responsible, inclusive, and ethical development and deployment of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Ghana.
This guide aims to empower all stakeholders developers, researchers, businesses, policymakers, regulators, and
technology enthusiasts with practical insights, local case studies, ethical frameworks, and implementation tools
to ensure that AI is harnessed for public good and national transformation.
The overarching goal of the guide is to promote a human-centered AI ecosystem in Ghana, one that Prioritises
safety, accountability, transparency, inclusivity, and sustainability. It seeks to bridge the gap between innovation
and governance by providing a reference point for developing policies, products, services, and partnerships that
are contextually relevant and socially beneficial.
Targeted at a broad and multidisciplinary audience, the guide serves as a blueprint for:

Developed within the framework of Ghana’s national digital innovation agenda1, the guide aligns with the
country’s ambition to become a regional digital innovation hub. It complements key government efforts,

Strategy, reinforcing Ghana’s readiness for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
