At a time where artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping industries, transforming workflows, and outpacing traditional job roles, it is the considered view of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG) that professionals who resist adapting may soon find themselves edged out of the workforce.
Paul Kwasi Agyemang says, however those who lean into AI, embrace the technology and master its potential will not have fears of any job losses.
The CEO of ICAG made this comments during a recent fun games ahead of the 2025 accountancy week celebration which will focus on the question of AI and professionals.
Speaking to the media, he admitted the fear of some professionals about the potential job losses. However, he allayed that fears insisting that all professionals must embrace the technology to stay relevant.
“Some people say with AI we may be losing our jobs. Yes, if you fail to move along with AI, then you stand the risk of losing your job. But if you are with AI, and then you know what is in AI, and you know how AI can impact your job, can impact your work, then definitely you are keeping your job,” James Kwasi Appiah indicated.
