The African Technology Forum (ATF), has announced major support from Google.org to scale its ATF Al Challenge across Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa.
"Ghana sits at the centre of this initiative, which directly aligns with the country's National Al Strategy (2025-2035) and broader digital transformation agenda".
A statement signed by Dr. Linda Sarpong, Country Lead, Ghana African Technology Forum said AT's pilot programme was designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and careers by training 2,000 young Ghanaians to builc rather than just consume, Al technologies.
She said, ATF as an institution founded at MIT in 1988 with a 37-year history and deep roots in Ghana would be using local datasets and real-world problem statements, where participants would develop practical solutions for sectors like health, agriculture, mining, manufacturing, and finance.
"ATF already partners with institutions like Korle Bu Teaching Hospital and is actively seeking corporate and institutional partners to be part of this important initiative"
