Participants will have the opportunity to win prizes of up to GHS 50,000, showcase their innovations, connect with investors, researchers, development partners, industry leaders, and policymakers, and contribute to Ghana’s growing AI ecosystem.

The competition forms part of the Ghana AI Summit & Awards 2026, scheduled for 29–30 July 2026 under the theme: “Artificial Intelligence for Economic Growth and Job Creation: Innovation, Inclusion and Future Jobs.”

Participation is free and open to individuals and teams of up to five members. Organizers encourage multidisciplinary teams that combine technical expertise, research, domain knowledge, and problem-solving skills.

The challenge encourages participants to develop AI-powered solutions using Ghanaian datasets to address key national challenges and create scalable impact across sectors including agriculture, healthcare, financial inclusion, public services, and education.

As artificial intelligence continues to reshape economies worldwide, the initiative seeks to promote practical, locally relevant innovation while positioning Ghana as a leader in AI-driven development.
