Ghana AI Summit and Awards to Spotlight AI’s Role in Economic Growth and Future Jobs
Ghana’s artificial intelligence ecosystem will take centre stage at the Ghana AI Summit and Awards, scheduled for 29–30 July as policymakers, technology leaders, researchers, entrepreneurs, investors and innovators gather to explore how AI can drive economic transformation.
Held under the theme “Artificial Intelligence for Economic Growth and Job Creation: Innovation, Inclusion and Future Jobs,” the summit will examine how Ghana can leverage AI to improve productivity, create employment, strengthen industries and accelerate national development while promoting responsible and inclusive innovation.
The two-day event will feature thought-provoking discussions on implementing Ghana’s AI strategy through the session “*From Strategy to Action: Implementing Ghana’s AI Strategy for National Impact,*”alongside conversations on *AI-driven productivity and economic growth, the future of work*, and *whether automation is replacing more jobs than it creates*

Discussions will explore *AI and the future of banking,* the use of AI in “*stroke prediction and healthcare research”.* and how artificial intelligence can catalyse *economic growth, innovation and productivity* across industries.
Entrepreneurship will also be a major focus, with sessions on “*AI Entrepreneurship, Startups, and the Innovation Ecosystem in Ghana*”
and “*From Ideas to AI Unicorns: Building Ghana's Next Generation of AI Startups,”* highlighting opportunities for founders, investors and innovators to build globally competitive AI businesses from Ghana.
The programme will also examine AI's impact on knowledge work through “*Confessions of an AI Evangelist: The Metacognitive Paradox, Cognitive Utility, and the Looming Deskilling of Knowledge Work in Ghana,”* encouraging dialogue on how AI can complement rather than replace human capabilities.
Beyond the summit, the Ghana AI Awards will recognise outstanding individuals, organisations and innovations that are advancing the development and responsible adoption of artificial intelligence in Ghana.
With conversations spanning policy, innovation, entrepreneurship, governance, healthcare, finance and the future of work, the Ghana AI Summit and Awards promises to be a key platform for shaping the country's AI-driven future.
