Ghana AI Summit Shortlists 12 Groundbreaking Teams for Ghana AI Innovation Challenge

Ghana AI Summit, Ghana's premier AI flagship event in partnership with the Ghana AI Research Network (GAIN), has announced 12 teams selected through a highly competitive process from over 100 AI innovations across healthcare, public sector, education, agriculture, fintech, and communication. The shortlisted teams will advance to the final stage of the Challenge, where they are expected to showcase their solutions as part of the Ghana AI Summit & Awards on 29–30 July 2026 in Accra.
The Ghana AI Innovation Challenge, an initiative of the Ghana AI Summit & Awards, is designed to identify and support groundbreaking AI-driven solutions that address real-world challenges using Ghanaian datasets, while fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and the responsible development of artificial intelligence within Ghana's emerging AI ecosystem.
Annoncing the shortlisted teams, Dr. Kwami Ahiabenu, director of Ghana AI Summit noted "Through the Ghana AI Innovation Challenge, we are empowering innovators to build world-class AI solutions that solve local challenges, put Ghana on the global AI map, and make a lasting contribution to the future of artificial intelligence."
The shortlisted teams are:
- Agriculture: Farm Doctor, Husker AI
- HealthCare: Galamsick, Mumtal Care, Sentry, NORA, Omaya Care
- Public Service: Floodwatch GH, Limitl8ss
- Communication: SignLink, Mansa
- Financial Inclusion: Eye of Ra
The Ghana AI Summit and Awards 2026 is made possible through partnership with a number of leading companies including Nyansaai.com, Innovation Prompts, Devtraco Group, Meta, Hisense, Prudential Bank, B System, The AI collective, GAIN, Media General, Africon, IPMC, Tv3, Papa Dried Fruits, and Vaurse.
Ghana National AI Challenge winners will be announced during the Summit, with opportunities for funding, partnerships, and continued support to help scale their innovations within Ghana's growing AI ecosystem.
