Prof. Delali Kwasi Dake

Prof. Delali Kwasi Dake is an Associate Professor of Computing and IT and Head of ICT Education at the University of Education, Winneba, Ghana. He is a Microsoft Certified Educator, Microsoft Certified: AI Transformation Leader, AI Policy Fellow at Lawyers Hub, One Million Leaders Africa Fellow, and an Institutional Grant Lead for the Google.org–FATE Foundation AI Upskilling Programme. He is a UNESCO-UNDP trained Data Governance Expert. In 2024, at age 36, he became one of Ghana’s youngest Associate Professors in Computing and IT. He holds a PhD in Computer Engineering from KNUST and founded Jobweb Africa, an African job portal. As Head of Department, Prof. Dake has advanced digital innovation through partnerships with Google, AyaHQ, eTranzact, Huawei, Trainora, ICP GH, Binance, LearnWay, and SUI, leading student-industry collaborations with signed institutional MoUs across four. He represented UEW at the Africa Premier AI Conference 2025 in Kenya, and presented in-person in Dubai, UAE, at ICCDTA 2025 on AI-driven employability models for Sub-Saharan Africa. He serves as an Examiner/Assessor/Writer for IUM (Namibia), KNUST, UPSA, USTED, UENR, BlueCrest University, Heritage Christian University, NaCCA, and GTEC. A seasoned reviewer, he contributes to Heliyon, Scientific Reports, Education Sciences, Cluster Computing, PeerJ Computer Science, and 28 other Scopus-indexed journals. He is an active member of ACM and SIGCSE, contributing to scholarly initiatives within the global community. Beyond academia, Prof. Dake serves on the Advisory Council of Mogaland Academy, representing Africa and Ghana; the Board Chair of Innville Foundation, promoting innovation and youth entrepreneurship; and the Board of Turbines, advancing ICT and digital skills development. He has delivered invited talks at global summits, including the Africa Fintech Summit, Digital Asset Summit, Ghana Youth Tech Summit, TeProD, Ghana Data Science Summit, 6th Biennial AI Conference in Abuja, and many more. As a member of ACM WG 5, he contributed to a Global South–focused ethical AI framework presented at the ACM Conference (Gaborone, 2025). He mentors in the 2026 BASE Fellowship. In the same year, he was selected for the Microsoft AI Immersion Programme and invited to participate in the inaugural United Nations AI Governance Dialogue in Geneva.
