Mavis A. Ampah
Biography
Mavis Ampah is currently the Board Chair of the National Communications Authority where she is leading the Authority on key sector and regulatory reforms. Ms. Ampah is also the Founder and CEO of Cactus Creek Foundation which focuses on using digital technologies to build capacity and create opportunities for marginalized groups underserved groups. Mavis is also co-Founder of Cactus Creek resort in Aburi. Prior to these engagements, Mavis worked with the World Bank for over 15 years where she led the delivery of several highly complex regional and country level investments in Africa and the Caribbean. As Regional Coordinator for Africa and Lead ICT Policy Specialist at the World Bank, Mavis led a team in the financing of the ACE submarine cable system for several African countries which has improved the resilience of broadband infrastructure in the region.
