Mohammed Tawfiq Abdulai

l am an AI Data Trainer and Integration Lead based in Tamale, with hands-on experience training large language model outputs for global AI platforms including Mindrift and Toloka AI. I hold an MSc in Information Technology and two Bachelor of Education degrees and am currently pursuing an LLB at the University for Development Studies Faculty of Law. This dual grounding in technology and law gives me a practical vantage point on how AI tools are reshaping professional knowledge work, particularly in legal and educational contexts. An ALX-trained Virtual Assistant and former IT educator, I have trained hundreds of Ghanaian professionals, corporate staff, university lecturers, undergrads and postgraduate students on Generative AI adoption. My current research and advocacy focus on the cognitive consequences of uncritical AI dependency in the Global South, and on building structured, locally adapted AI tools that preserve rather than replace human cognitive capabilities.
